This week, we watched a brand new, long in the making film based on a beloved ride and a teen musical movie that not many people have seen (partly because it’s glitchy on Hulu). It’s Jungle Cruise starring Emily Blunt and Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson and Next Level from the company that produced another Green Light featured film, No Escape Room. You can watch Jungle Cruise in theaters or on Disney+ with premiere access, and you can watch Next Level for free with Amazon Prime or on Hulu (if it lets you get past the first minute). We are officially BACK! Well, we never really left, but here is to our full time return to our old/new format. This week, we are reading Scout: Veteran of the Psychic War by Andrej Kukoljac. This one’s a doozy (and a ducky): a simple white feathered duck becomes a god, and annihilates all of humanity, leaving two young children as the sole survivors. We talk to Andrej about his inspiration for this story, his prior filmmaking experience, his semi-recent move to Croatia, and graffiti. Tune in, this is a good one!
